A butterfly flying away generally stands as a liberating symbol.  In addition, the butterfly symbolises the brevity of life and the immortal soul. This is because of the butterfly's delicacy and short life span. Religiously, death is the transition to a better life, the transition from a vale of tears to the kingdom of heaven.

Material

The object is made of 2 mm coated steel. The steel is then powder coated in colour. The pedestal is solid wood and handcrafted and coloured. NB: wood is a natural product, it may have knots or irregularities and under the influence of dry or humid air it may start to work and cracks may appear.
